By accessing or using this website, downloading forms, submitting information, requesting services, or contacting Gregg Katz for tax-related assistance, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use this website.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, clients, potential clients, and others who access or use this website.

1. About This Website

This website is owned and operated by:

Gregg Katz, aka "Gregg The Tax Guy"
15444 Annie St
Olathe, KS 66062
Email: info@greggthetaxguy.com

This website is provided for general informational purposes only, including information about tax preparation services, pricing, policies, client intake forms, document checklists, common tax questions, and contact details. Website Disclaimer.

2. No Tax, Legal, Financial, or Accounting Advice

The information provided on this website is general in nature and should not be considered tax advice, legal advice, financial advice, or accounting advice specific to your individual situation. Tax laws are complex and subject to change. Your tax situation depends on your specific facts, documents, income, deductions, credits, dependents, filing status, residency, withholding, and other personal circumstances.

Viewing this website, downloading a form, submitting a contact form, sending an email, or asking a general question does not create a tax preparer-client relationship. A client relationship is established only after direct communication, mutual agreement, and Gregg Katz agreeing to provide tax preparation services. You should consult directly with a qualified tax professional regarding your specific tax matters.

3. Website Purpose

This website is intended to provide general information about the tax preparation services offered by Gregg Katz, aka Gregg The Tax Guy. The information may include descriptions of services, client intake forms, frequently asked tax questions, document checklists, pricing information, policies, and general tax reminders. The website is not intended to replace a complete review of your tax documents and personal tax situation.

4. Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and truthful information. This includes, but is not limited to, income forms, dependent information, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, tax documents, business income and expenses, deductions, credits, prior-year information, state residency information, banking information, and any other details needed to prepare a complete and accurate tax return.

Gregg Katz, aka Gregg The Tax Guy, relies on the information provided by the client. The client remains responsible for reviewing the completed return before signing or authorizing filing. By approving a return for filing, the client confirms that the information is true, correct, and complete to the best of their knowledge.

5. Intake Forms and Downloadable Materials

Any intake forms, worksheets, checklists, or other downloadable materials provided on this website are intended to help clients organize their tax information before tax preparation begins. These forms are designed to help identify the information that may be needed, including income, deductions, credits, dependents, business activity, and other tax-related items. However, these materials do not guarantee that every possible tax issue, deduction, credit, or filing requirement has been identified.

Completing an intake form does not, by itself, create a tax preparation agreement. A client relationship begins only when Gregg Katz, aka Gregg The Tax Guy, agrees to prepare the return and the client authorizes work to begin.

6. Professional Engagement Required

No tax return preparation, filing, or related services will be performed unless:

  • The client directly engages Gregg Katz, aka Gregg The Tax Guy;

  • The required information and documents are provided;

  • Fees are agreed upon;

  • The client authorizes work to begin; and

  • All applicable IRS and state requirements are met.

This website does not, by itself, provide electronic filing, secure document upload, or secure transmission of taxpayer information unless a separate secure method is specifically arranged.

7. No Guarantee of Tax Outcome

Tax results depend on the information provided by the client, applicable federal and state tax laws, IRS and state processing rules, withholding, credits, deductions, income, filing status, and other tax-related factors.

Gregg Katz, aka Gregg The Tax Guy, does not guarantee that a client will receive a refund, qualify for a credit, avoid owing taxes, avoid penalties or interest, or receive any specific tax result. Any estimated refund, balance due, credit, or tax outcome is subject to final review, client-provided information, tax law, IRS processing, and state agency processing.

8. Payment and Refund Policy

Tax preparation fees are charged for the time, work, review, and professional service involved in preparing a tax return. Payment is due in full once the client authorizes Gregg Katz, aka Gregg The Tax Guy, to begin preparing the return.

Fees are not based on whether a refund is received, whether a balance is owed, or whether the client is satisfied with the final tax result. Once work has begun, tax preparation fees are non-refundable.

If an error is made in the preparation of the return, Gregg Katz, aka Gregg The Tax Guy, will review the issue and make reasonable corrections related to the original preparation at no additional charge. This does not include changes caused by missing, incomplete, incorrect, or later-provided client information.

9. Filing Authorization

Tax returns will not be electronically filed until the client has reviewed the return, approved the return for filing, and signed or authorized any required e-file authorization forms. The client is responsible for making sure all information is correct before authorizing the return to be filed. Once a return has been filed, changes may require an amended return, additional review, additional documentation, and possibly additional fees depending on the reason for the change.

10. IRS and State Agency Adjustments

The IRS, Kansas Department of Revenue, Missouri Department of Revenue, or other tax agencies may adjust a return after it has been filed. Adjustments may occur for many reasons, including agency records, missing income, incorrect withholding, refund offsets, prior balances owed, identity verification, credit review, math corrections, or other agency processing issues.

Gregg Katz, aka Gregg The Tax Guy, is not responsible for IRS or state agency adjustments that result from agency review, client-provided information, missing documents, incorrect documents, unpaid debts, refund offsets, identity verification, tax law limitations, or agency processing decisions.

11. No Guarantees or Warranties

While reasonable efforts are made to keep the information on this website accurate and current, no warranties or guarantees are made regarding accuracy, completeness, timeliness, reliability, or applicability to your specific situation.
